Should i shoot you

I think that using videogames as a tool for learning can be an invaluabvle resource in many fields. Simulators will give a person the edge in a situation in whiuch they previously had no training. I do think that a person will act differently in a virtual setting than in real life, for instance shooting innocent bystandards. I dont thin that this is necessirily unhealthy it is just human nature to be curious about some things. I dont thin these games trains us to be more violent people

I doubt that playing a video game would seriously make an individual buy a gun and kill others for the hell of it. But video games do introduce and reinforce graphic violence that could have an influence on people. I believe that everything that we witness, every little thing we come in contact with each day, whether we are conscious of it or not, makes an impact. This impact could be miniscule or enormous, but it makes a difference. Being bombarded by blood, guns, and death may not make me physically seek out an AR-15 and gun civilians down in the street, but, damn, that doesn't exactly teach peace and cooperation, does it?

Maybe they don't make you kill, but they don't help you appreciate beauty in life either.

people have been killing other people long before video games were dreamed of. shoot, (no pun intended) theyve been killing eachother before tv; it s been going on forever. With these facts, its impossible to say that video games cause these behaviors, but they definately dont prevent it. The simulators that the army uses teach the motor skills neccessary to shoot and kill your enemy, but they cant teach or instill the fear, and first hand experience. I believe they will forever be a factor, but never the cause.
