So far the biggest problem that I have encountered with my rough draft was finding a topic. I would think and think of different topics, but nothing that I had 5 pages to talk about. I went through my whole life thinking about something to talk about. Then I finally found something that is interesting to talk about. Now since I have a topic my paper has been going smoothly because I have more than enough to say.
The biggest challenge for me has been coming up with a topic to write about. I feel like all the examples you gave were too mature.. I dont think that ive experienced enough yet at 18 thats worth writing 5 pages about. I have a couple ideas in my head.. but im not really confident about any of them.
my biggest problem so far outside of picking a topic is how am i going to set up my paper. having been a while since i wrote a paper, i feel that that is the biggest obsticle for me
Thus far, the only trouble I have had is coming up with a topic that is not going to be boring for people to read! I have a few ideas of things to write about, but I just need to narrow it down to one. I will just need to narrow down my options on what to write about, and try to make it interesting.
The biggest problem for me actually wasn't finding a topic, oddly enough. The hardest part for me has been connecting my points in the way same way I have drawn it out in my head and in a way that actually makes sense. I have also had some trouble telling the story of the actual experience I had in an interesting and non-corny way. I like that we are not writing a five-paragraph formal essay, it's made it a lot easier and way more interesting. But, I still feel like I'm not writing very well.
Where to start first i had a problem with the topic but when i got it the information part was easy. But that has lead me on to a bigger problem.... how to start my paper. Hopefully once i start my paper and get my beginning the words will just flow out of my mouth but how do i start. where do i start. Hopefully somehow and somewhere or i may never go back to class and another problem is if my rough draft exceeds the required length and i go and write the whole story do i just bring in the two and a half papers or do i bring it all.... Hopefully by tomorrow i will have my work together and it won't be as difficult as i am making it out to be
Finding a topic wasn't very difficult for me, it was how to start my paper. I had a lot of ideas, i just couldn't figure out how to lay them out so I would have some organization to my paper. I'm trying to make a type of an outline to go from rather than just type all my random thoughts out at once.
Staying focused. I don't know, I feel kind of stupid writing about myself and I don't want to make it seem like I'm too righteous or insecure or something. I'm just going to have to get over it though. I wrote an outline of the paper to organize my thoughts and this helped because it's keeping me on track.
My biggest challenge when writing my rough draft was writing it well. I have always had a hard time with grammar and punctuation. It was hard to over come this challenge. I had one of my friends proof read it for me so hopefully it's not too bad. Also I wasn't totally sure on what to write about. I had plenty of material, I just hope that my topic specifically meets what we were supposed to write about.
it has been pretty difficult getting started. Also i was having trouble writing something personal that i am comfortable sharing with anyone. I had a topic picked out but i didnt know what exactly to focus on and i wanted to make a point, like the essays we read, but i didnt know what that would be. But after i started it got easier. The paper is still very much a rough draft and i will have to revise it alot but i feel ok about it
My biggest obstacle was not finding a topic... once you told us that people needed to be able to relate to it, a topic popped up in my head instantly. I am however, a little concerned that because my topic is, um, not as "serious" as some others may be, that my paper won't be appreciated...it has already been called "inappropriate." So my biggest challenge lyes with writing a good strong paper, so that it is taken seriously. I have little experience with writing narrative essays, so hopefully all goes well. .. but keep in mind this is only the ROUGH draft.
The hardest part about our paper was coming up with a topic. I tried several ideas but none of them seemed suitable for the requirements. I ended up picking a story I liked and felt comfortable sharing with. Another difficult part I thought was the length requirement. This is my first paper that is longer than two pages so I had to try and remember all the details that pertained to the story.
One of my biggest problems like everyone else was finding a topic. I just started writing what came to me. Now the only real problem I see is making sure that I tie it into a bigger picture to make the reader relate it to there own life. Though since I know this I just have to remember to do this as I go along.
i have a good topic that i have a lot of insightful things to say about, but my biggest problem is organizing all my thoughts into an interesting essay that actually makes sense and has a point. im not done with it yet so i guess well see how things work out.. good thing this is only a rough draft!!
The biggest problem that i have about my rough draft is deciding what topic i should write about. I had a lot of ideas, but none of them is good enough to write 4-6 pages about. I just have to keep thinking able my topic and when i figure out what to write about, i believe my paper will be alright and will fit the requirement.
My biggest problem writing my rough draft was getting started. I had no idea what topic to pick or how to go about writing it. Another problem I had was that I tend to always write "by the book" essays. Very strict, intro, 3 body, conclusion, boring shit. This time I was able to write more of a story. A structurally unstructured essay if you will. I was able to overcome this by brainstorming a general topic, family. Going from there I picked my topics and drew up a structured outline. After that I took the outline and turned it more into a story type essay. I think its good so far, but now I need to remove generic words.
My biggest problem is putting forth the time to actually do this paper. Finding a topic took me about five minutes to decide, so that wasn't very hard. I'm getting past my time problem by working every second that I can. I find that when I sit down and write nonstop everything comes out like juice from a bottle. I'm going to keep going like this.
Once having found a topic the next most difficult thing i encountered was knowing which order i wanted to put the events that happened throughout my story.
The hardest thing for me so far is just getting started. I judge what I write so harshly, that if it doesn't sound right, I usually trash it and go back to the drawing board. Since I have gotten started, my biggest challenge is how to write it in a way that would allow the reader to understand what I mean, without giving them an incredible amount of detail because the subject matter is very personal to me. As of this moment though, I am confident.
I do not think that i really have a challenge writing this essay. When the essay was assigned i knew what i was going to write about. I guess i might have trouble writing the last page but so far i have had no problems.
My biggest concern with this paper is that i would no be able to type the minimum amount nor would i be able to make a good story. I am going to use three to four stories comprise of one main idea behind the story. To over come this i am going to see the writing center and centralize my ideas with my rough draft.
My biggest problem writing my rough draft was figuring out was to write about. Once i figured it out I wrote 4 pages pretty easy now figuring out how to end the rough draft is my hardest problem. Also I am not sure if what I am writing about is covering the point of the paper.
the biggest problem that i have encountered with my roughdraft was coming up with a appropriate topic, without putting my personal problems out there. I had to get over the topic i would present and just go for it. I'm glad i did this paper, i was able to find out more about myself.
The biggest problem I faced was not rambling on and using interesting details to help my story. I sometimes feel that my writing is boring and need to do more unique things to keep it interesting.
The biggest problem I've faced concerning the paper was which stories to use and how to organize them. To overcome this i am going to be rereading the paper many times until i get all the right fits. I usually don't have a problem finding a topic but how to organize all of my ideas. I think i need to use better prewriting techniques.
My biggest problem so far has been constructing it so that it makes sense. My topic is strong and I'm confident that I can fill 5 pages with my story, I'm just working on tying it all together.
I accually have not had too much trouble. I picked a story from my life and i just went with it. I sat down to type 2 and a half pages, which was required but when i stop writing i had a little under 5 pages. So I have not really had much of a challenge yet, but we will see how the editing goes.
My biggest challenge was definitly finding a good topic to write about. I kind of resorted to the one I did because I couldn't think of anything else. Some of the topics I did think of didn't contain enough material to talk about.
My biggest challenge so far has been thinking about how to incorprate my experiences into my writing. I have stories and ideas, but it never seems to be able to flow very well together. It has been easier to write once I figured out how I'm going to go about organizing what I will say.
I had no problems finding a topic because I just experienced something personal I had to overcome my senior year. I chose to write about. It was difficult for me to find time to write my paper with all if the other homework and quizzes/tests I have had. I had to manage my time. I stayed in all night Saturday to start some of my paper and other homework.
The biggest problem I encountered when writing my rough draft was picking a topic based upon my true life experiences that I thought everybody from class could relate too. Once I finally came up with a topic that I felt people might be able to relate, I encountered another problem. How in the hell was I going to stretch this topic over 4 to 6 pages? I wrote everything from my situation and put it down on a page to draw from when writing my paper. Once I settled down and started writing, my paper went very smoothly, hopefully it will work, I am a little unsure of my writing, its been awhile since I have written anything that is going to handed in and graded.
