Big Money

There have been a lot of discussion about the fact that you can make money through Second Life. So I searched for other ways people are making money through the internet. I found that there are people out there that make a living off of blogging. What was first a hobby to write down random thoughts online has turned into a profit of hundreds of dollars.

Would this venture be something you'd be interested in? Do you read/write blogs? Do you think Blogging in the future would become more wipespread?

I think if I could come up with something that a lot of people would like to read then yes, I would definitly like to do a blog to make money off of. People like Perez are amazing because their blogs are so funny and entertaining. Even though I don't agree a lot with what he says and that celebrity blogs are sometimes innapropriate, I definftly respect his ability to bring people entertainment and his orginality.

I will probably be more of a blogger when i get to my job. Right now i don't really need to but if i was on a job i can see many benefits. I can see almost all jobs having some sort of wiki/blog so workers can communicate ideas and events going on instead of a memo.

If I knew that I could get paid for something like blogging, and get paid well, then I would definitely do it. It would be a good way to get your thoughts and ideas about certain things out there. Personally, I think that I am a very opinionated person so for me to come up with something to write about and talk about all the time would be a very easy thing for me to do. However, whether people would appreciate what I had to say is a completely different story. I do think that it would be fun to be a professional blogger or something like that. I do believe that more people are going to start using blogs because it's pretty much like a journal or diary. It's a high-tech way for people to express their thoughts and feelings about certain things. Sometimes it's even a way for people to let people know what's bothering them or what they really think about them.

I think if i could make money and come up with something good to write about, then sure I would do it, I don't know how serious I would be about it though. I do think that as the technological world increase blogs will become more popular, or maybe even be replaced with something better who knows.

Well I definitely think the idea of blogging to make money could be achieved. I mean there are guys for espn.com and other sports cites being paid specifically to write blogs. My favorite sports writer, Bill Simmons, often jokes about how he gets paid to sit at home and watch basketball. It's a great life to have. I have started blogging a little bit, and I just want to see where it goes form here, because who knows what the future brings as far as that is concerned.

This is not anything I am interested in. I already don't like doing the blog thing and I don't really like writing papers or doing things that I don't like to do on the computer so I really wouldn't like to write blogs for my job. Some people might like it and might think it is fun, but I do not really like it now, so no its not for me.

I don;t think this is something I would be interested in. I'm sure there are people out there making money off of second life, but I'm a more interactive person and I'd prefer to actually be involved physically in a real life situation to earn the money I'm making. I feel like I'd get more out of it this way.

If I had some really interesting things to say, I would definitely consider blogging for a living. I read a lot of blogs, ranging from political to Perez Hilton. I write in one occasionally, but it's only for my own personal enjoyment and I really don't think anyone reads it. I can see blogging becoming more and more popular because not only are they a fun way to get information across, they're fun to read and write.

I'm not sure that I would like to blog for money, though it is an interesting idea.

I do think that it will become more widespread, however, because a blog is very similar in many ways to a newspaper column. Unlike a newspaper column, though, it is on the internet which makes it more readily available to the public and they can interact with it by leaving comments. It takes a newspaper column and letters to the editor and puts them on a webpage together.

I mean if I was really on my computer a lot and had time to do that I think I would definitely do that to make money. It seems like a simple way to make money but I don't know I look at that the same way as I do something like Ebay I just don't really trust it 100% due to the fact that there are a lot of shady people out there and the internet is just one more way for these shady people to rip people off for themselves so I don't know if I really trust it.

Unless I could think of something super profound and beautiful to say everday I do not think that blogging for money would be a venture that I would like to pursue. I only read and write blogs for class but I do think that in the future blogging may become more widespread.

I had never used a blog before taking this class and I don't really see myself using them too much after this quarter. I do, however, see a possible way for internet savvy entrepreneurs to make a big buck with this technology. It seems money is hidden everywhere in the internet. Just look at how sites like Google and Facebook has turned average Joe's into multi-million dollar moguls. I am sure someone, if they already haven't, will find an efficient way to make a ton of money with blogs online.

I love making money : ) and this is simply the journalism of the 21st century. You post a story and people can leave comments on it. You put an opinion and people leave comments on it. Perez Hilton is one of the loonies in hollywood who is just raking in money through blogging. He just throws a couple ads on the sides and ruins peoples lives by reporting gossip. What a life.

If I could get paid for blogging, then sure, I would probably do it. I like to write, and if it meant people would read what I have to say, then I'm all for it. It's kind of funny to think about, though. I mean, blogging was suppose to be something personal, where you write out your thoughts and ideas without really expecting people to read it. But now, being able to make money off of what you write on a blog, it's just a humorous notion, but I would still be willing to jump on that bandwagon, and make money off of blogging.

If I had something important or interesting to say I would definitely like to get paid for it. Blogging seems like a good way to do this. For the most part though, I don't really do any blogging besides in this class. Maybe when I get a job it would become more interesting and I will have more to talk about. If I have enough to say though I would definitely consider blogging for money..It's a pretty awesome idea.

I think it's pretty widespread as it is. It's everywhere now and to some extent it's faster then your local newspaper and usually has more juicy information!

I wouldn't doubt it if company's employ bloggers to write certain blogs incorporating a certain product and such into their writing.

Or even just praising a certain company and bashing another rival.

Possibilities are endless.

really, no. i wouldnt do it, even if it was an easy way to make cash. theres something about 'no one wants to read what i have to write anyway' that makes me shy away from it. for people who write meaningful things, go for it if you'll make money. however, not for me.

I enjoy reading blogs and writing every once in a while. Many internet sites for magazines and newspapers actually have bloggers as a specific job at their company, and I think that it is great for writers out there. Blogging is like a personal diary and if you would like to share you ideas and talents with the world more power to you!! And its pretty cool if you can make some money while you are at it..
