What Do You Think Will Be The New Technology???

In our day and age, we have many different types of appealing technology at our disposal that we have either never had before or that is better than it has ever been. We have the fastest cars, the smallest portable music players, different makes and looks of laptops for school, business, and entertainment purposes, as well as many other types of technology. In one way or another these things make our lives easier, enabling us to be more efficient and productive than we ever have been or to be more lazy than we already are.
In knowing these things my questions to you are as follows; 1) With all of the technology that we have today, do you think that it is necessary to continue inventing more technologies? 2) What do you think the next new technology will be? What would it be called and what would it do/how would it improve the lives of human beings? How could it possibly be detrimental to the lives of human beings?

I don't really think that new technology is really necessary. Improving what we have, ok that's cool. But there's always something newer, bigger, better and it's impossible to keep up.

However, this isn't going to stop anything. Our technological progress will continue to develop new things until the end of time, always making things "better".

As for me, I have no idea what the next new thing could be! With all the random, new inventions of late who could possibly guess?

I think that as long as there are people on earth, we will continue to develope new technology. Everyone wants things to be easier, everyone wants communication. There is always going to be a new thing because people out there are working to make them, and working to make money off of them.

We learn new things every day, and these things will get worked into te technology around us. Glitches will be fixed programs will be enhanced. Slowly, everything will become more and more complex.

I'm not sure what the new thing will be, otherwise
i'd be out there trying to make millions off of it. I'm sure it will be something that brings a lot of excitement, just like the last technological advances have.

Yes, technology should always be pursued. It is good for the economy and it can further medicine. I feel that technology should be made more readily available to other countries and the stronger more advanced countries should make an effort to distribute it to others.
I think the next technology should be for medicine or something that can better us as people through communication or helping others, a lot of new technology has been extremely consumer driven it shouldn't be like that anymore because in the end we will just end up with a bunch of really great video games but no much insight on ourselves or the world around.

I decided that I want the ability to carry my fish with me all the time.

Maybe like a backpack fish tank

with filtration and auto food feeder, heater and lighting.

Technology predictions are hard to do because usually when someone thinks something up thats practical and makable... it gets made and is no longer fantasy

Its basically impossibel to predict what technology will come to us. We dont really need the stuff but once we went down this road there is no turning back. people want new technology as soon and fast as possible. which is why alot of things at first are messed up and the company improves it before their next shipment. This is always a bad path, because a lot of advances are made in medicine and that sort of thing which helps many people out.

I think that as far as technology goes, the latest additions will be putting a camera on anything that can hold one. I also think that adaptations of cell phones will continue to be made- most likely making the tiniest cellphone with the largest screen possible. Another trend is anything touch screen and anything that allows storage of photos and internet access. Apple seems to update their products constantly. Everything needs to be made lighter, more compact, faster, but must include cool accessories such as a camera or internet access or picture storage. Also, another trend is to develop any technological advances in the fitness aspect- such as tennis shoes that allow for a connection to your ipod to keep to motivated. The possibilities of technological advancements are endless.

I think the new technology that will be revolutionary in the future will either be artificial intelligence (robots) that will be used to do practically everything or some type of space travel or some sort of technology that has to do with space. Most of the technology that has been coming out in the past decade seems to just be improvements on technology that is already out there so I think the newest thing that will be the bug hit has something to do with artificial intelligence of some kind.

Whether we like it or not, technology will always keep improving. People can never be satisfied with what they have, they will always want for something better. It's just human nature to be curious and explore, and exploring new technology is all part of that. It may not be necessary to keep inventing all this new technology, but it will happen anyway, because of that curiosity and that drive for something better.

As for new technologies, I'm holding out for some tele-porting,it would make getting around so much easier, but it would make us extremely lazy, more so than we already are.

I don't really have any idea what the next big thing will be. There will be something though, I'm sure of that. Technology is always changing and getting better and more advanced. I would like to see technology used in better ways though. Maybe we could use what we have to better the countries that don't have the resources. This would be using technology in a positive way and not just using it on some useless things that make us more lazy. We could think bigger and think of ways to help the world, not just ourselves.

There will always be changing technology as long as were the dominant species on this planet. If we stopped producing technology everything would collapse. Whole industrys revolve around the evolution of technology. Why would anyone not want advance technology?
